Value of Edinburgh Legal Education Trust LLM by Research (LLMR) Scholarships:

• Tuition fees at home students’ rate.
• Maintenance stipend in line with UKRI rates.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

• Hold, by the start of the LLMR programme:
  • An honours degree in law, or
  • An ordinary law degree plus an honours degree in another discipline.
• Be accepted by the University of Edinburgh for the LLM by Research in Scots Private Law.
• Be seeking to start in September 2026.
• Preference may be given to those intending to progress to a PhD.
• UK and international students are eligible.
• Proposed research must focus on Scots private law.
