Financial Benefits Include:

1. Full University of Oxford Tuition Fees

The scholarship covers all course fees for eligible postgraduate programmes at Oxford University.

2. Annual Living Stipend

Scholars receive:

• £20,400 per year
• Approximately £1,700 per month

This stipend helps cover:

• Accommodation

• Personal expenses

3. Oxford Application Fees

The Rhodes Trust covers:

• University application fees

4. Visa and Health Costs

5. International Flights

The scholarship includes:

• Economy-class flight to the UK at the beginning of studies
• Return economy-class flight after completion of studies

New scholars receive financial assistance to help settle into life in Oxford.

7. Additional Support for Second Degrees

Students transitioning to a second course at Oxford may receive:

• Visa renewal assistance
• Additional IHS support

8. Emergency and Research Grants

The Rhodes Trust may also provide:

• Emergency financial support
• Research grants
• Travel funding
• Creative and professional development grants

Eligibility:

Eligibility varies slightly depending on the applicant’s country or region.

Generally, applicants must:

• Meet nationality or residency requirements for a Rhodes constituency
• Meet age requirements
• Hold or be completing an undergraduate degree
• Meet Oxford University admission requirements
• Demonstrate strong academic performance

Notes:

You should apply for the Rhodes Scholarship before applying for your proposed course at the University of Oxford. Candidates selected for the Rhodes Scholarship are then required to apply for their chosen course via the University of Oxford’s graduate application form, with support from the team at Rhodes House.
